The 1981 Z1100GP, which the page presents as the GPz1100, was Kawasaki's large air-cooled superbike and the start of its high-performance four-cylinder line of the early 1980s. It used a fuel-injected, two-valve-per-cylinder engine on a twin-shock chassis. It was heavy and tall but known for strong acceleration and mid-range pull, and it later gained a fairing and single-shock rear before the water-cooled GPz900R replaced it.
